How Do I File for Unemployment Benefits at the North Carolina Unemployment Office ?

You must have worked and received payment during at least two calendar quarters of the current base period;

    I have worked long enough to qualify. Are there other requirements?

    1. The newly unemployed must have become unemployed through no fault of their own.
    2. Register for work with North Carolina Employment security Commission NCESC
    3. File a claim for each calendar week of benefits they request
    4. Actively seek work during any week for which unemployment benefits are claimed (you must seek work in person on two different days with at least two different employers keep written records in case they need it)
